The Greater Bladed Beeb is a large beeb that resembles a praying mantis with blades on its arms. It scuttles about the arena, widely swinging its blades, and has three different attacks: it attacks with one blade two consecutive times, dashes forward and thrusts its blades downward, or spins in a circle with its blades pointing outward. Both its head and abdomen are its glassy weakpoints, but reaching them is made difficult by the creature's reflexes and ability to quickly turn around. Once one of its weakpoints is broken, it becomes enraged, increasing its speed. Afterward, it will use its strike attack and double blade attacks three times consecutively. Upon defeat, its eyes widen, and it collapses onto the field and falls apart before exploding.

Great Bleeb is a boss beeb appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. It is found in the final sublevel of the Marble Playground, later in the Final Challenge. It resembles its Pikmin Adventure incarnation, named "Greater Bladed Beeb", but like the other beeb family species appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?, the Great Bleeb is organic rather than mechanical, resembling a mantis, having two blades, a transparent body and its inner true body with two eyes mounted on stalks, its true body being yellow, four legs, and a green coating. The Great Bleed at first sleeps akin to its intro cutscene from Pikmin Adventure, until approached which it'll get up and roar at them. The Great Bleeb has a wide amount of attacks it can use, which has a chance or to knockback merely or to kill Pikmin hit, making it a formidable foe, and the only places it can be attacked at is its back and head due to not being protected by the green coating around it. The attacks it uses being:
- Swing: the Great Bleeb will swing its blades downward in a attempt to hit Pikmin and leaders with its blades. If it misses it'll look angry at them, or look confused.
- Spin: the Great Bleeb will spin quickly, which will hit any Pikmin around it.
- Block: if a Pikmin is thrown at the Great Bleeb, it may use its blades to block the Pikmin, similar to the Peckish Aristocrab and Brute Aristocrab.
- Block Burst: if Pikmin are thrown during its block too many times, it'll swing its blades horizontally.
Do to its fast attacks, the Great Bleeb is even more dangerous as it already is. Once it is at half health, the Great Bleeb will become totally enraged glowing red and with steam effects, it'll attack even faster and have the following new attacks:
- Combo: the Great Bleeb will do the swing and spin attacks quickly one after another before stopping to rest.
- Frenzy: the Great Bleeb will quickly swing its blades and run toward Pikmin and leaders attempting to hit them.
- Slice: the Great Bleeb will swing its blades strongly, instantly killing Pikmin hit no chance to save.
Once defeated tge Great Bleeb's eyes will widen, now back to its normal state, and its green coating disappearing, akin to its Pikmin Adventure defeat animation, however, it doesn't explodes, and its corpse can be carried.

In Pikmin 5: One More Game, the Greater Bladed Beeb serves as a boss and eventual miniboss. It appears as the boss of Toyday Park, fought in sublevel 5, and as a miniboss in sublevel 6 of the Cave of Fallen Dreams and sublevel 3 of the Cave of 100 Trials. All fights have the same strategy, with the only differences being health and size.
The Greater Bladed Beeb has 3 main attacks. For the first attack used by it, it will simply swing its blades high into the air and then slam them down to the ground. This starts up quickly, so Oatchi or spicy spray is a good choice for dodging this attack. For its second attack, it raises both arms before swinging them both in opposite directions toward leaders and Pikmin like a pair of scissors. This is its deadliest attack, able to deal major damage to captains and catch many Pikmin in its wide range. For its third and last attack, it spins around with its two blades out at once. This can not only kill Pikmin but also shake them off when they are clinging to it. At half-health, one of its weakpoints will burst, and it roars, with the lights on its body turning red and the weakpoint regenerating. In phase 2, all of its attacks start up much faster, giving less time to dodge, and the Greater Bladed Beeb will even use its scissor attack in quick succession up to 3 times as well. When defeated, it will simply fall over and die.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “This Beeb species is incredibly aggressive, and many attempts to study it have occurred. After a long while, I was able to notice its eating habits. It cuts up food that it finds and plants the remains underground, then digs it up a day later to devour it then. The reason it is so aggressive seems to be territorial, as not only do other creatures stay far away from it, but they also slash trees in the vicinity, almost as if it is their way of communicating with each other.”
Louie's notes
- “Harvest the limbs and head, remove the blades and chop the arms into pieces, then crack the skull like an egg into a pot full of boiling water. Boil it until it solidifies and serve the limbs and "egg" together. Garnish with mushrooms.”
The President's notes
- “While too aggressive and territorial to be a pet, the arms could be melted and refined into a sharp knife or durable suit of armor for protection, only 500 Pokos a piece.”

The Greater Bladed Beeb is a species of beeb in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature resembles its original form in Pikmin Adventure, being a mechanical, mantis-like creature with two large blades. However, the creature functions much differently than its original incarnation.
When the battle begins, the Beeb has a few different attacks in its first phase. It will attempt to swipe its blade at Pikmin, reducing their maturities and sometimes even killing them. Its second attack is swinging its blades to the ground and spinning around, scattering the Pikmin around the arena. Its main attack is charging the Pikmin with its two blades and slamming them into the ground. The attack can wipe out dozens of Pikmin at once but is slow to prepare. If successfully dodged, the creature will get its blades stuck in the ground. This allows for the captain to throw Rock Pikmin at its abdomen to shatter it. Throwing Weighted Pikmin, Purple Pikmin, or Dart Pikmin has similar results. If shattered, the creature will become enraged, developing a reddish hue and entering its second phase.
In its second phase, the Beeb will grow an extra pair of blades. This allows for the insect to swipe twice and cover more ground in its first attack. In its spin attack, it also covers a larger area. In its new attack, it will launch its blades into the air, causing the four swords to impale the ground and any unfortunate Pikmin. Its charge attack is quicker, and the two extra blades will stab the ground on each side of the Beeb. If Rock Pikmin are used to break the weak point on its head, the creature will be defeated, causing it to explode.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “The Beeb species seems to have a complex colony in this planet's ecosystem. This creature seems to serve as the royal prince to the King Beeb. Greater Bladed Beebs will usually spend their time inside colonies until mating season arrives. These creatures will exit their dens during mating season to find a partner and start a new colony. It just so happens that they are extremely aggressive during this time as well. A few researchers have been sent to the ER when documenting the Beebs.”
Louie's notes
- “Unfortunately, this creature cannot be consumed as it will self-destruct when harvested. Don't try to eat it alive either. It's been tested..”
President’s notes
- “I was going to recruit this guy to help chop down trees if I started a lumber company, but then I realized trying to recruit these guys may end up in me becoming sliced Hocotation...”

The Greater Bladed Baub appears in Pikmin: The Insect Gourmet. It has an updated design to more closely resemble real-world praying mantises. Other than that, it behaves identically to its robotic counterpart.
