Like the [[Armored Cannon Larva]], the Decorated Cannon Larva fires boulders at Pikmin; crushing and killing them. However, these boulders have magnetic properties, which allow for them to trail after captains. They will follow captains slowly until they crash into a wall, or explode after thirty seconds. These boulders, although deadly, can be used to your advantage. They can be lead by the captains into other enemies, or even into the Decorated Cannon Beetle itself; doing significant damage. [[Rock Pikmin]] and [[Steel Pikmin||Weighted Pikmin]] are immune to  the boulders crushing properties.

Decorated Cannon Larvae have an appearance similar to Armored Cannon Larvae, but are red instead of green, and have orange eyes. They, too, spit out boulders, but their rocks home in on the currently active leader due to the magnetic field enveloping them.
