Appearance in Pikmin 4.
Scientific name Pseudoarachnia calvitium
Family Arachnorb

Baldy Long Legs, like other arachnorbs, it is quite large, its only method of attack is crushing Pikmin with its large feet, and its spherical body is its weakpoint. It will remain within its arena if it has one, move between them if it has two or more, or simply wander about if it has none. It strongly resembles a hairless tropical Shaggy Long Legs.

In Pikmin 3 Deluxe, a golden variant of the Baldy Long Legs is fought alongside a golden Shaggy Long Legs in the final stage of Olimar's Comeback. It behaves identically to the normal variety, with the only difference being its coloration.

Below this point is where users place their version of the Baldy Long Legs.

Attacks Crushes Pikmin

The Baldy Long Legs is a returning species of arachnorb in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. The creature resembles its Pikmin 4 incarnation. The boss will either be found stomping around in an arena or simply wandering the map. Occasionally, the arachnorb may fall from above to initiate a boss fight. The Baldy Long Legs is mainly discovered after removing the hair of a Shaggy Long Legs.

The Baldy Long Legs is the weakest of all the arachnorbs. Possessing no special abilities or attacks, the creature acts as the common boss arachnorb found in most areas. Depending on where the creature is found, it could be of a grey, blue, green, red, gold, brown, or dark lime coloration. The hair it used to possess would match the tone of its skin. The Baldy Long Legs will simply stop around the arena, occasionally stopping to lower its orb. That is the chance to throw Pikmin on the beast. Alternatively, Pikmin can climb up the legs, but they may fall off if a leg stomps down. If attacked, the boss will shake off Pikmin. Fur Pikmin can quickly climb the leg, being virtually unable to be shaken off. Iguana Pikmin can attack the orb from afar, but may be squashed if not paying attention. Once killed, the Baldy Long Legs will open its orb horizontally instead of vertically and decay into nothingness.

Notes

Olimar's notes

The Baldy Long Legs is technically a different species, as the hair does not grow back. This creature can not produce wax, unlike other arachnorbs, so insects and small creatures can climb up its legs. Due to this oversight, the arachnorb excretes pheromones that attract small bugs to climb into its orb once they open it up. The bugs will then be digested and consumed. Lots of organs and other internal fixings are in the orb, but we can not study a specimen for all of it simply melts away.

Louie's notes

Inedible. Even when the hair is removed, this creature's meat can not be digested.

President’s notes

To be honest, I kind of liked the version with the hair more. It gave the guy more personality. I tried collecting some of the hairs to make a toupee but there were insects infesting it! Gross!

Overlord’s thoughts

Seeing this animal take advantage of its evolutionary oversight makes me proudful of this ecosystem I have protected.
