Pikpik carrots are returning vegetables appearing in Pikmin 2... Again?. They are vegetables resembling orange carrots, they have a cone-shape, a tall stem like of a Pikmin ending also like them in a green leaf, the pikpik carrots have two forked roots. And maybe the most known food in Hocotate. While pikpik carrots cannot be used usually, only being mentioned. In the Pikmin 2... Again?/Piklopedia, the player can throw pikpik carrots, which most enemies will try to eat or attack the pikpik carrot, which it'll disappear, addiotionally, pikpik carrots will disappear after enough time, or if the player throws a 16th pikpik carrot, which destroy another one, due to the limit of pikpik carrots to be on field being of 15. However, a notable variant of pikpik carrot is the Golden Walking Pikpik Carrot that act as Pikmin. Based on the pikpik carrots as Pikmin from p2, and p3 for a lesser intent. As their name says, it is a walking, golden, pikpik carrot, the same ones from Louie's Dark Secret, they resemble the normal pikpik carrots but golden, defined by a slightly orange, light-yellow color, even their stems and flowers are golden are golden, additionally their roots are longer and act as legs, and somehow even lacking arms they can carry as if they just made the object float. The Walking Golden Pikpik Carrots have no resistances, and all average stastics, making them the true most basic "Pikmin" type. They are mainly on non-story modes, but by completing the story mode 100%, the player can spawn Walking Golden Pikpik Carrots by pressing switch in the Fun Mode, so they are tehcnically non-canon. Strangely, even technically not being Pikmin, neither having their own candypop bud, they if thrown into one, they'll be converted into the Pikmin type of the color of the candypop bud, unlike the Bulbmin and Glow Pikmin.

Inventory appearance in Pikmin 4.

Pikpik carrots are vegetables native to Hocotate, the planet famous for them. A valuable variety of pikpik carrots that are completely golden, aptly named golden pikpik carrots, are longer than the normal variety and have three curled roots instead of the basic cone-shaped or forked root. The Pikmin got their name from Olimar, who believes that they resemble pikpik carrots.

In Pikmin 2, pikpik carrots, specifically the golden ones, spur the events of the story, as Louie is instructed to deliver them but is reportedly attacked by a ravenous space bunny that supposedly eats them all. Orange pikpik carrots can be thrown at enemies in the Piklopedia to see their reactions, such as moving around or waking up, or eating and attacking the carrots. In Pikmin 4, pikpik carrots can be crafted with raw material and be used to briefly distract enemies, and temporarily stun enemies that eat them with their bitter flavor.

Pikpik carrots are perhaps Hocotate's most well-known crop returning in Pikmin 2... Again?. They resemble orange carrots with a forked root, and a long, cone-shaped stem like that of a Pikmin also ending in a green leaf. While only mentioned in story mode, pikpik carrots can be used in the Piklopedia, by being thrown, and enemies that target Pikmin will also target them. Pikpik carrots will be destroyed if they are attacked by an enemy, enough time passes, or 15 already exist.

A notable variant of pikpik carrot is the Walking Golden Pikpik Carrot, which acts as a Pikmin. These Pikmin are based on pikpik carrots technically being Pikmin in Pikmin 2, and Pikmin 3 to a lesser extent. As their name would suggest, they are golden pikpik carrots, the same ones from Louie's Dark Secret, but with the ability to walk and a shape indentical to the normal pikpik carrots, akin to Pikmin 4. They are defined by their predominantly light yellow color with orange tones, and even their stems, leaves, and petals are golden. Additionally, their roots act as legs, and despite lacking arms, they can carry or manipulate objects much like any other Pikmin could. Walking Golden Pikpik Carrots have no resistances or other special attributes, making them truly the most basic Pikmin type. Walking Golden Pikpik Carrots are used primarily in non-story modes, but by completing story mode 100%, they can be spawned in Fun Mode by pressing Switch A.png. Notably, when a Walking Golden Pikpik Carrot "dies", rather than leaving a soul, it will burst into many chunks that then disappear, similar to the Pixel Pikmin. Strangely, although they are not Pikmin, not even having a respective Onion or candypop bud, they will still be converted upon being thrown into a candypop bud, unlike the Bulbmin and Glow Pikmin, which candypops reject.

The Walking Golden Pikpik Carrot originally had the name "Pikpik Carrot" and was similar to normal pikpik carrots but with longer roots. They were later renamed the "Walking Pikpik Carrot" to differentiate them from the normal pikpik carrots, but that was coincidentally the same name Louie described Pikmin as in a voyage log in Pikmin 4. However, due to the introduction of the Claw Pikmin, which was also orange, the Walking Pikpik Carrot was yet again renamed to "Walking Golden Pikpik Carrot", the longest name of all Pikmin types, and were recolored to light-yellow.

Where's Olimar? Well then I'll my own notes for it! Walking Golden Pikpik Carrot / Hoccotatus carrotenos / Hocotable family. They are pikpik carrots affected by magic... Actually, no, I have no idea what they are. Anyways... Then... They are nothing special, that's all.
