As such, ten Winged Pikmin must be issued to lift the entire gate. The bamboo gate is a returning obstacle in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. It can not be cleared by conventional means such as from Pikmin or bomb rocks; the only way to do so is by having up to ten Winged Pikmin lift the gate up, allowing for entry underneath. Along with this, there is a new variant of the bamboo gate that is silver in color. The silver bamboo gate weighs a total of fifty Winged Pikmin, essentially requiring half of a full squad, making battling enemies much more difficult.
